2018 Festival Schedule

Every fall we attend many fairs and festivals selling our alpaca products and our organic garlic.  We only attend the best festivals our area has to offer.  Please consider coming to one or two, meeting us in person and chatting about our farm and the products we are proud to offer.  We'd love to meet you!

August 4 & 5 - Fox Run Farm Winery's Glorious Garlic Festival in Penn Yan, NY- This incredible festival takes place right on Keuka Lake at one of the area's most beautiful wineries in NYS.  You should visit this winery anyway, but it is especially inviting during their Glorious Garlic Festival where there is live entertainment, marvelous food (much of it inspired by garlic!) and craft and farm vendors from all over NYS offering you the finest in produce and handmade crafts.  We bring a full line of our alpaca products here.  Our knits by Diane Angie hats and our alpaca fur hats have been extraordinarily popular.  Read more about the festival here - Fox Run Farm Glorious Garlic Festival

August 13 - 18 - Exhibit at The Delaware County Fair - While we won't be here in person or be selling our alpaca products, we will have a display in The Home and Careers Building.  Stop by, sign up on our mailing list and see our display that highlights dryer balls, fleece balls that replace dryer sheets that we make right here at our farm.  This fair is definitely worth attending.  For times and attractions visit their site - The Delaware County Fair

August 25 - Open Farm Day at our Farm in Unadilla, NY - This is the day that we open our farm to the public.  Come anytime between 10-4. You can visit both of our barns, see a dozen or more baby alpacas (called cria) romping through the pastures, shop at our farm store for alpaca items (it's never too early to think Christmas presents!) and see our garlic drying in the loft of our barn.  Some should be dry enough for sale by this time.  Parking can be tough at our farm.  If you're in good shape and are up for a hike, park on the road at the end of our driveway and take the trek up.  Once you do, you'll understand why I take the Kubota down to get the mail most days!  :)  We look forward to seeing you!  We are opening our farm along with many, many others across Otsego, Delaware and Schoharie counties as part of an out-reach program sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension.  To read about other farms participating, visit their page - Family Farm Day     and our farm website    Ideuma Creek Alpacas

September 1 & 2 - Vermont Garlic and Herb Festival in Bennington, VT - You couldn't ask for a better festival - live music, great food and fantastic vendors make it one you don't want to pass up.  Located just over the NY border in VT, this venue is serene and simple.  The food is amazing - again garlic themed.  We will offer our 6 different types of hardneck garlic for sale here as well as our full line of alpaca products.  We'll have a double tent to fit it all in!  Make sure you stop by and say hello.  To see more about the festival including a complete list of all the incredible food and craft vendors, visit VT Garlic & Herb Fest website.

September 9 - Bethel Woods Farmer's Market - we have not yet received conformation on this festival yet.  Please check back.

September 15 & 16 - Harvest Festival at The Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown, NY - If you've never been to The Farmer's Museum, this is your opportunity.  It's like taking a step back in time.  There is a 19th century village as well as a museum filled with rural heritage from our area's farming communities.  This weekend the grounds are filled with tents that are filled with artists and farmers offering their fresh produce and crafts.  We will be in the white tent at the end of the village.  We'll have garlic for sale as well as the full line of our alpaca products.  We'll even bring a couple of alpacas with us.  To learn more about this event visit their website:  The Farmer's Museum

September 29 & 30 - The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival in Saugerties, NY - OK, it you're serious about garlic and food made from it, attending this festival at least once in your lifetime is a MUST!  It is the second largest garlic festival in the country ( the largest is held in Gilroy, CA)  There is an unbelievable variety of garlic to be purchased here and then everything made from garlic - pesto, seasoning and spice blends, jerky, etc.  There is even garlic icecream and garlic fudge offered for sale!  It is the ultimate garlic celebration.  Please look for our big white tent where we will be selling our alpaca products and a small red tent next to it where our 6 varieties of hardneck garlic will be offered for sale.  Come early as we usually sell out quickly!  Lots more info available at:   HVGF website

October 6 & 7 - The LaFayette Apple Festival in LaFayette, NY - This is our first time vending, and boy, are we excited!  This festival has over 500 crafters and promotes apples and small town America, three things we absolutely love!  There is a pie contest, a scare crow contest, a cider mill, mid-way rides, and did we mention 500 crafters?!!  For more info - LaFayette Apple Festival

October 14 - The Warwick Apple Festival in Warwick, NY - This one day festival celebrates apples, arts, crafts and entertainment.  We will be featuring our handmade items at this festival made from the fleeces of our alpacas right here at Ideuma Creek.  This will be our first time at this Apple Fest and we couldn't be more pleased to be a part of it!  To find out more:  Warwick Apple Fest

October 20 & 21 - The NYS Sheep & Wool Festival at The Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY - if you've been to fiber festivals before (unless it was in Maryland!), you will be blown away by the size, scope and quality of this festival.  Fiber enthusiasts and fiber artists come from around the world - that's right - the world - to attend and to vend here.  The entire fairgrounds is devoted to all things fiber related.  There are barns full of sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas.  There are fleece shows, shearing demonstrations, sheep dog trials, and absolutely everything you could ever want that is fiber related.  We are in a huge white tent just up from the Souvenir Tent and across from Building 22.  We bring everything - and I mean everything - we have to this event.  It's by far our largest and busiest festival.  We'll have our popular $15 Section (2 for $25) as well as the highest quality sweaters and blankets, mittens, scarves, gloves, shawls, and hats.  If you're looking for alpaca socks, come to our tent!  We have the biggest and best selection of alpaca socks at the festival!  If you love fiber and have never been to this festival, put it on your bucket list.  You will not regret it!!  For more info:  NYS Sheep & Wool Festival
