This is a fundraiser for a 14 year old girl, AK, who was struck by a drunk driver in a hit and run accident while she was walking home from school. AK goes to Sidney Central School, the district I taught at for 33 years. She remains in critical condition at Upstate Children's Hospital a month after the accident. Her family has only asked for prayers, but as we all realize financial help is needed. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to AK and her family. It is our hope that we not only raise money with this fundraiser, but also awareness. We want you to put your dood or your paca somewhere where you will see it often - your dashboard, your locker or your nightstand. Each time you see it, you will be reminded to pray for AK, reminded about the dangers of drinking and driving and reminded about how important love, strength, hope and faith are in our daily lives, a lesson we have learned as we have watched AK, her family and our entire community pull together.
